At tonight's board meeting, we were thrilled to celebrate a dynamic partnership with DreamOn Studios. This collaboration aims to harness the power of media literacy, creativity and communication for the benefit of WCS students. As part of this exciting partnership, DreamOn Studios will engage with Warsaw Area Career Center’s (WACC) Radio, TV, and Digital Media students classes through a partnership titled β€œDreamOn Academy.” Through a collaboration with current instructor Scott Greene, students will receive invaluable industry expertise and hands-on training from the DreamOn team. Real-world projects will be integrated into the curriculum, and students will have opportunities to gain hands-on experience at DreamOn Studios' production events. DreamOn’s state-of-the-art production studio will also be available for special projects. Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert shared, β€œWe are so thankful for the community sponsorship and investment in our students. The expertise they share with our students is critical in providing real-world skills at the high levels of technical and production skills. As our students consider lifelong career paths, the DreamOn partnership with Warsaw Community Schools is ensuring they can follow their dreams with the needed confidence and skills.”

πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ Last week, Tracey's Trailer Bicycle Education Bike Rodeo Program rolled into into town! Massive kudos to Kim Lezark from KCV Cycling, along with the awesome support from the Warsaw Noon Optimist and Warsaw/Winona Lake Police Departments. πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ The program offers four weeks of classroom instruction, concluding with a Bicycle Riding Skills course. Plus, each child walks away with a FREE helmet and water bottle. This fall, the program was brought to Lincoln and Sacred Heart. In May, Jefferson, Eisenhower and Claypool will get to participate. Since the program's launch in the Spring of 2017, they've already educated around 265 students each year. Their long-term goal is to bring this educational program to ALL eight elementary schools in the Warsaw School System every year. A big shoutout to Mr. Barnett's classroom and the dedicated volunteers from the Octagon Club for their continuous support. #BikeSafety #WCSmission #ExperienceWCS

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ JROTC: Marching with Pride and Inspiring Young Minds! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Last week, was a busy week for JROTC! On September 26th, they welcomed middle schoolers to the high school for a special briefing about the program, with a bit of recruiting thrown in! Then on Friday, the JROTC program took center stage, leading the Warsaw homecoming parade! Through 1.5 miles of non-stop marching, our dedicated cadets sang cadences, showcasing the true spirit of JROTC. Led by the Color Guard, our cadets proudly displayed the American, state, and battalion flags. Their poise and respect were evident, reflecting the core values of JROTC. But the parade was just the beginning! Following their remarkable march, our cadets presented the colors at the homecoming football game. With grace and precision, they unfurled the immense flag, symbolizing their deep respect for our nation. The Color Guard presented the American, state, and battalion flags to the stands, leaving an indelible mark of JROTC excellence. We're immensely proud of our JROTC cadets for their commitment, discipline, and dedication to our community! #JROTC #WCSmission #ExperienceWCS

🌟 WCHS JROTC: A Week of Outreach and Empowerment! 🌟 Our dedicated JROTC cadets have been on the move, spreading the spirit of leadership and service throughout our schools this week! 🏫 School Visits: They made impactful visits to Lakeview and Edgewood Middle Schools, sharing insights about the JROTC program and distributing informative flyers to the future leaders of our community. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Flag Detail Training: At Washington Elementary School, our cadets showcased their expertise by teaching select 6th graders the art of the flag detail. Together, they learned the importance of properly folding and raising the flag, and the students even mastered this patriotic task on their own!
