Welding Contest

The Warsaw Area Career Center (WACC) Welding program students recently competed in the 2nd High School Welding Competition at Western Welding Academy.

Five Warsaw Community High School students made the cross-country trip to Gillette Wyoming.

These students were selected in February and were responsible for raising funds for this trip. Collectively, they raised over $5,000 to help fund this trip! A lot of hours after school, and even some Saturdays, were put in to prepare for this trip, and for Carter Hall that work paid off with a 2nd place finish. Carter earned a $10,000 scholarship, a table full of tools, welding gear, and a welder! A huge congratulations goes to Carter Hall and the other students who competed that day.

The student team members are Carter Hall, Layton Cooper, Anthony Taylor, Cadence Gibson, and Daxton Prater.

Warsaw Community Schools would like to thank welding instructor Jeremiah Paseka and all who donated to fund this incredible opportunity.
