Last Thursday, around 50 7th/8th-grade females were mentored by 14 female engineers in an engineering challenge hosted at Edgewood Middle School.  The girls were encouraged to ask lots of questions about what it takes to be an engineer.  A Warsaw Area Career Center (WACC) senior, Sydney, was the keynote speaker.  She took engineering classes at EMS and continued at WACC. She spoke about her experiences and her future.  The event was organized by Abbi Richcreek, PLTW teacher at Edgewood Middle School, and sponsored by the Society of Women Engineers.
