Kyle Carter is a life-long resident of Warsaw. He graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2001. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Grace College in 2005. While at Grace, he earned the Outstanding Prospective Teacher Award. In 2009 he earned his Master of Science from IPFW in Educational Leadership.

Kyle began his teaching career as a 6th grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary School in 2005. During this time he became one of the first teachers in the district to implement a 1:1 classroom. He was also honored as a Warsaw Community Schools teacher of the year nominee. In 2012, Kyle shifted to the role of Instructional Math Coach. In this role he worked to support teachers throughout the district in grades K-12. Kyle returned to Jefferson Elementary as the building Principal in 2014 where he has served for the past seven years.

Kyle and his wife Jenna have two children that attend Jefferson Elementary School. Kyle added, “I love the relationships I’ve built with students, staff, families and the community. I have learned so much over the past sixteen years. I cannot express how grateful I am to have served as the principal. The position of Chief Technology and Analytics Officer will allow me to further explore my passions in education: utilizing technology to accelerate learning and using data to drive instruction in the classroom. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the WCS technology team, district leadership, principals and teachers to further the WCS mission.”

Kyle Carter will represent the school system as a WCS Cabinet member at the national, state, and local level. With this move, the search committee will now focus on the open position of Principal for Jefferson Elementary. Warsaw Community Schools thanks all involved in this process and welcomes Kyle Carter as the Chief Technology and Analytics Officer.
