A huge thank you to Jefferson’s STEM instructional Coach Daniel Scott, Mrs. Sandy McClellan (6th grade teacher), and the staff & volunteers for KOSCIUSKO COUNTY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT
The focus was on chemistry with stations set up for 6th grade students to wade in the water, find & identify living organisms, test the PH balance, learn about the chemistry of Cherry Creek, record findings on data sheets, and discuss the implications. The weather was perfect for a chance to extend learning beyond the classroom and school campus.
