Warsaw Community Schools, in conjunction with the recently adopted Strategic Plan, is introducing a new 2021 Speaker Series. WCS is excited to announce four dynamic presenters who will travel to Warsaw to support the goals of the Strategic Plan’s Four Pillars: Empathy, Inclusivity, Adaptability, and Experience. Warsaw Community Schools will welcome Chris Singleton on March 11.
Chris Singleton is a former professional athlete drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2017. Following the loss of his mother in a racially motivated mass shooting, Chris has now become an inspirational speaker and best-selling author who shares his message of unity and racial reconciliation. He shares with over 50 organizations and over 30,000 students annually and resides with his spouse Mariana, his son CJ, and his younger brother Caleb, who he cares for, in Charleston, SC.
Warsaw Community Schools is excited to welcome Chris Singleton back; Chris was with WCS in January 2019. On March 11, Chris will be the keynote speaker. His message of the power of relationships and resilience will be delivered to a student audience in the PAC and livestreamed to secondary classrooms. Chris will also lead discussions and answer questions. After, Chris will host a workshop to engage students, faculty, and community around the goals of the WCS Strategic Plan. To close the day, Chris will meet with athletes to discuss character development and the power of teammates.
Building on Chris Singleton’s presentation, WCS will welcome two more speakers. Jonathon Wilkins will present in April. Wilkins is a business leader with a passion to empower others. Charles Person, a Freedom Rider, will join WCS in May.
Warsaw Community Schools will start the new school year in August with our fourth speaker in the series, Dr. Adam Saenz a licensed psychologist, therapist, author, and keynote speaker.
