Congratulations to Miss Allen's homeroom and Mrs. Gerber's homeroom for winning our adopt-a-family contest.  They have won a special holiday party, during homeroom, on December 15.  Miss Allen's HR raised $146 and Mrs. Gerber's HR raised $249 in a tight contest!  As a school, we raised over $2000.  Lakeview adopted 5 families!  THANK YOU LAKEVIEW!!

 

Winners of the 2020 Aerobic Rodeo were:

Period One 3rd place Ivan Ponce- 2nd place Caleb Meyers and 1st place goes to Isaac Gagnon with a total of 10.14 miles

 

Period Two 3rd place Vaugh Ware- 2nd place Ana Martinez and 1st

place was Jadelyn Walters with a total of 9.85 miles

 

Period Three 3rd place Matthew Waldridge- 2nd place Ben Booren-

and 1st place goes to Stevie Saldivar with a total of 11.32 miles

 

Period Four 3rd place Jonathan Robles- 2nd place Sophia Hori-

and 1st place was Theo Crabree with 13.07 miles

 

Period Six 3rd place was Hunter Martin- 2nd place was Eibyl Long- and

1st place was Josh Conley with 12.33 miles

 

Period Seven 3rd place Lucas Bricker- 2nd place Carson Gould- and

1st place was Brandt Martin with 11.39 miles

 

So the Overall Aerobic Rodeo riders who stayed on the longest was:

3 RD PLACE – BRANDT MARTIN – PERIOD SEVEN

2 ND PLACE – JOSH CONLEY – PERIOD SIX

1 ST PLACE- THEO CRABREE – PERIOD FOUR

Lakeview's school Spelling Bee will take place Wednesday December 16th during Homeroom. Look for an email from Miss Allen with more details, the study list, and the sign up form.  Whoever wins the school Spelling Bee will get the chance to represent us at the Kosciusko County Spelling Bee in February.

 

FFA members- please join us for the Warsaw FFA Meeting on Wednesday, December 9 from 6:00-7:30 pm in the WCHS Agriculture Rooms (Y-187 at the high school).  Please enter through Door #4.  We will discuss opportunities to be involved in FFA.  We will also have an Ugly Sweater contest and a White Elephant Gift Exchange ($5 max).

The 8th grade basketball team beat Wawasee 49-34

Leaders include:

Wyatt Dawson 18 points

Kellan Bailey 9 points and 4 rebounds 

Reed Nelson 8 points 

Brandt Martin 7 points and 2 steals

Drew Sullivan 4 points and 4 assists 

Carson Gould 3 points

 

The 7th grade basketball team lost to Wawasee 40-32. The team was led by Mydin Burgher with 14 pts, followed by Noah Quance who scored 6 pts and Kenny Ortiz who also scored 6 pts. To round out the scoring Sam McDaniel scored 4 points and Robbie Staughan scored 2 pts.
