Lakeview's school Spelling Bee will take place Wednesday December 16th during Homeroom. Look for an email from Miss Allen with more details, the study list, and the sign up form.  Whoever wins the school Spelling Bee will get the chance to represent us at the Kosciusko County Spelling Bee in February.

FFA members- please join us for the Warsaw FFA Meeting on Wednesday, December 9 from 6:00-7:30 pm in the WCHS Agriculture Rooms (Y-187 at the high school).  Please enter through Door #4.  We will discuss opportunities to be involved in FFA.  We will also have an Ugly Sweater contest and a White Elephant Gift Exchange ($5 max).

The 7th grade basketball team traveled to John Young Middle School in Mishawaka for the John Young shootout tournament on Saturday. The Tigers won the 1st game in the morning against New Prairie 41-15.  The Tigers were led on offense by Noah Quance’s 17pts and 10 rebounds.  The Tigers got another strong game by Mydin Burgher’s 12 pts , 5 steals and 6 assists. Kenny Castillo contributed 6pts and 5 rebounds. Jordan Randall scored 2pts and 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Sam Allebach had 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Wesley Martin had 1 steal and 2 rebounds. Rounding out the game Andrew Contreras with 2 rebounds and 1 steal. In the championship game the Tigers faced John Young Middle School. The Tigers came away with a championship title with a 42-19 win. The Tigers had a good complete team effort on both ends of the floor. Leading the way was Robbie Staughan with 12 pts, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Mydin Burgher again had a strong game with 11 pts, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.  Noah Quance followed with 7 pts, 10 rebounds, Jordan Randall with 6 pts, 4 steals and 3 rebounds. Sam Allebach scored 2 pts and 3 rebounds. Kenny Castillo had 2pts, 4 rebounds. Andrew Contreras had 2pts, 2 rebounds. Wesley Martin had 1 steal, 1 rebound. The Tigers play again this coming Tuesday at Wawasee. The Tigers record is now 7-0.

The 8th grade basketball team also beat New Prairie in game 1 36-26
