Are you good at spelling, or interested in becoming better at it? Consider joining the Spell Bowl team where you will compete against other schools in team-based written spelling bees to help you improve and show off your spelling skills! If you are interested in joining, stop by Miss Allen’s room (E5) or send her an email at kallen@warsawschools.org to get more information and let her know you are interested.

Catch Up Café is Back! Do you need help after school? Then Catch Up Café is for you. On Tuesday and Thursday of most weeks, Catch Up Café will take place in the library. This runs from 3:05 to 4:30 PM. There will be teachers and paras available to help you with assignments. Students that attend are expected to work on assignments just like in a classroom. If you plan to stay, please be sure you have a ride lined up for 4:30 PM.

The 8th grade volleyball beat Bremen 25-15, 25-17. 

·       Daihya Chupp had 1 kill and 6 assists

·       Maggie Hollon had 1 ace and 4 kills

·       Mia Jones 6 aces and 3 kills

·       Alena Carboneau had 1 ace

·       Abbey Peterson 2 aces, 3 kills, and 6 assists

·       Ally Anderson 2 aces, 2 kills, and 2 assists 

·       Brooke Winchester has 2 blocks, and 1 block

The 7th grade Volleyball team also beat Bremen 17-25, 25-18, 15-8

Lakeview 7th grade football played Bremen on Tuesday night at Lakeview and came away with a 42-0 victory. The Tigers were led by the offensive line of Kolten Sisk, Keniel Ortiz, Ryan Campbell, Josalene Lara, Liam Smith that opened large holes in defense for the running backs. Tigers scored 6 TDS on the night. Touchdowns were scored, 1 by Brody Duncan, 1 by Jordan Randall, 1 by Ezra Stewart, and 3 by Mydin Burgher. The defense played an excellent game forcing 2 turnovers, pass interception by Jordan Randall, and a fumble recovery by Mydin Burgher that he returned 60 yards for a tiger touchdown. The Tigers record is now 5-0.

The 8th grade football team also beat Bremen 40-6. Isaiah Postigo playing through an injured hand, led a strong defensive effort which included Gavin Schultz pick 6, Daniel Ramirez and Morgan Swope big push up the middle, and great defensive backfield play of Carson Chizum and Griffin Brown. The offense featured the hard running of Wyatt Dawson and Max Andrew behind the great offensive line play. Drew Sullivan ran the offense to perfection hooking up with Luke Bricker on two long routes including a couple of TD’s.
