Tuesday’s Lunch Menu:  3 Grab and Go Options: Pepperoni Calzone with Steamed Corn and Diced Pears;  Mediterranean Box with Cucumbers and Fruit Juice or PBJ Meal with Cucumbers and Fruit Juice. Available with all meals is a Fresh Veggie Mix and 1% White or Choco Milk.

It's time to Rock your Vote, Lakeview! On Tuesday, September 8, you will cast your vote for President of the Lakeview Student Council. Be sure to check out their Campaign Posters on your way to and from lunch! Student Council's info board is in the hall between the cafeteria and the nurse's office, and is always updated with our latest school activities. Not sure who to vote for? Not to worry! Before we cast our votes, you will hear from each of our presidential candidates, and hear a statement from our vice president, who is running unopposed. So take a look at the posters, listen to our candidates, and get ready to choose who YOU want to be Student Council President! 

The 7th grade football team played Mishawaka at Lakeview Middle School Tuesday. The tigers can away with a big victory 30-0. The Tiger’s offensive and defensive lines played an excellent game leading the way for the Tiger’s victory.  Brody Duncan had a 100 yards rushing with a TD run of 22yds in the first quarter. In the second quarter Mydin Burgher intercepted a Mishawaka pass and ran back 38yds for a tiger TD to make the halftime score 14-0. In the 3rd quarter Jordan Randall ran 52yds for a tiger TD making the score 22-0. In the 4th quarter Mydin Burgher ran a 9yd TD to make the final 30-0. The tigers were lead on Defense by Noa Quance, Keniel Ortiz and Brody Duncan. Tiger’s season record stands at 2-0

Lakeview Girls Cross Country finished 2nd at Riverview on Thursday in Cross Country action.  Final Scores were:

1.  Riverview 37

2.  Lakeview 39

3.  Crestview 57

4.  Edgewood 85

The top 3 finishers for Lakeview were:  Alexis Neely (3rd), Sammi Rastrelli (5th) and Margot Sprankle (6th)

Lakeview Boys Cross Country finished 2nd behind Edgewood on Thursday.  Final scores were:

1.  Edgewood 21

2.  Lakeview. 41

3.  Crestview 90

4.  Riverview 94

The top 3 finishers for Lakeview were:  Tyler Mimnaugh (1st), Sam Allebach (6th), and Ben Booren (9th).

The 8th grade volleyball team beat Riverview 25-11. 25-14 and Crestview 25-9, 25-12

Daihya Chupp had 6 kills, 2 kills, and 9 assists

Maggie Hollon had 4 aces and 2 kills

Mia Jones had 9 aces and 3 kills

Emma vanpleffen Had a 3 aces

Alena Carboneau had 4 kills

Abbey Peterson had 6 kills and 2 kills 

Ally Anderson had 5 kills

Brooke Winchester had 2 kills and 3 kills

Lakeview is now 5-1

At Lakeview, the Big Three are Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Safe.  When staff members see students exhibiting these behaviors, they may write a Positive Prop to recognize these awesome behaviors.  So far this year, we have 33 Positive Props that have been written!  We will begin doing periodic drawings from our bucket of Positive Props for PBIS prizes.  Thank you to all our students for being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe.  And thank you to our teachers for recognizing our students for these things.
