foot ortho

Mr. Weaver's PLTW Medical Detectives students have been hard at work learning how to develop a foot orthosis to help a patient with Cerebral Palsy.  The orthosis must be comfortable, removable, and prevent the toes from pointing down.

PLTW Medical Detectives is a nine-week elective available to 7th and 8th graders, where students learn how to solve medical mysteries using vital signs, symptoms, and other details of disease.  They also learn about the neurological system and complete a sheep-brain dissection.

If your child might be interested in this course, be sure to add it to the course-selection sheet!

Mr. Weaver is glad to answer any questions at jweaver@warsawschools.org
