WARSAW, IN - Warsaw Area Career Center (WACC) Work-Based Learning students recently honored their supervisors at the annual Employer Appreciation Luncheon, presented by The Roost.

The luncheon recognized the meaningful partnerships between local employers and the 62 WBL students who have spent the year developing valuable career skills through real-world experiences. Students shared their appreciation for the guidance, mentorship and opportunities provided by their workplace supervisors—support that has helped them transition from classroom learning to professional settings.

The 2024 Work-Based Learning Student of the Year was awarded to Allison Slone, who worked in the Engineering Department at Medartis under the supervision of Blake Gross.
