A not-entirely-new face to the Jefferson Family is Mrs. Becky Wilson, who joined the Spartan Staff in January 2022 as a 1st Grade Teacher.
Mrs. Wilson comes to Jefferson with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood endorsement from Grace College. Her previous teaching experience includes teaching Kindergarten for two years for Warsaw Community Schools. She has also been involved in teaching and working with kids for many years at her church and at the Fairlane Community Center.
Mrs. Wilson has been married for 30 years to her high school sweetheart, Rod. They have three grown kids who are all graduates of Jefferson Elementary School. Their oldest son, Josh, is a pastor in Ohio. Their son Luke and his wife Lenna are both public school teachers in Indianapolis, and their daughter, Abby, is a junior at Wheaton College, majoring in International Relations.
In her free time, Mrs. Wilson's "absolute favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family." She also loves reading, walking on the Winona Lake trails, and going on vacation to the Outer Banks with her family.
When asked about why she is passionate about education and working with children, Mrs. Wilson said, "I love kids and delight in helping to instill a life-long joy of learning in them. I believe in the power of education and the difference it can make in a child's life."
