Mrs. Ali Jankowski

Our Spartan Family is overjoyed to welcome Mrs. Ali Jankowski, who is joining Team Jefferson in Kindergarten this year.

Mrs. Jankowski grew up in Valparaiso, IN, where much of her family still lives. She attended IU Bloomington, graduating with a dual license in Elementary and Special Education. During her senior year of college, she completed a full year of student teaching, was the undergraduate speaker at her School of Education graduation ceremony, and received the Outstanding Future Educator award from the IACTE.

Before coming to Jefferson, Mrs. Jankowski taught kindergarten for two years at Eastern Greene Elementary in Bloomfield, IN, and third grade for one year at Bailly Elementary in Chesterton, IN.

Mrs. Jankowski said, "I've wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember! It became a reality when I started teaching dance classes in high school—those were my favorite days of the week and made me realize that early childhood education would be a dream job of mine!"

Outside of school, Mrs. Jankowski enjoys reading, embroidery, and physical activities, such as trail running and paddle boarding. She's been married to her husband, Andrew, since 2018. (They actually met in middle school!) Her husband is an eye doctor at Grossnickle Eye Center.

Welcome, Mrs. Jankowski! We look forward to getting to know you better in your new role as a Jefferson Kindergarten Teacher!
