Warsaw Adult Education Graduates

On Tuesday, June 22, Warsaw Adult Education hosted a ceremony in Warsaw Community High School's Performing Arts Center to celebrate High School Equivalency (GED) graduates from 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. There were 94 graduates this year and 68 last year for a total of 162 graduates invited to the ceremony. Graduates participating in the graduation ceremony were given cords for the subjects in which they earned honors scores on the TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion). Blue chords represent an honors score on the writing portion. Green chords represent honors in mathematics, and red represents an honors score on the reading portion.

Warsaw Adult Education is led by director, Steve Ferber, who recognized the HSE teachers (Brandon Cavanaugh, Diana Clark, Sharon Matti, Cari Strunk) for their efforts in this record-setting year for the program. Linden Boggs is the Career Coach and has helped many of the graduates to find training or enter further educational programs after passing the TASC test. Mr. Ferber thanked Ivy Tech's Vice-Chancellor, Allyn Decker, who was present and said a few words to the graduates. Ivy Tech Warsaw is the location of the free Warsaw Adult Education classes students attended to prepare for the TASC test. Also speaking on Tuesday night was Dr. David Hoffert, Warsaw Community Schools superintendent. He congratulated the students and mentioned looking forward to all they will achieve in the Warsaw community. Also participating by congratulating the students on stage were all members of the Warsaw Community Schools Board of Education.

Warsaw Adult Education would like to thank all those graduates, families, friends, and community members who joined in the celebration of our graduates.
