Warsaw, IN – WCS and Lakeview Middle school are excited to announce the recommendation, pending board approval, to hire Michele White in the position of Assistant Principal. Ms. White will work alongside newly announced head principal, Todd Braddock at Lakeview.
Michele White began her journey in education at Indiana University, Bloomington where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education. With the help of a School Improvement Grant, Ms. White earned her certification in High Ability and will complete her Master of Science in Educational Leadership this summer.
Michele White has had a diverse career in teaching as she traveled with her husband who served 22 years in the United States Navy. She has taught in Virginia, Louisiana, Hawaii, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Indiana serving students in grades Pre-K through 8Th grade. For the past three years Ms. White has served as the skills teacher at Lakeview working closely with the administration to implement tier three interventions in math, language arts and reading. Michele and her husband have two children; their youngest daughter will be a senior this coming school year at Warsaw Community High School.
Ms. White commented, “I feel privileged to be taking the role as Assistant Principal at Lakeview Middle school. I believe deeply in the districts mission of aspiring and equipping ALL students to continuously acquire and apply knowledge and skills while pursuing their dreams and enriching the lives of others. I am excited to work closely with Mr. Braddock to continue the foundational work that Ms. Sivley instituted to make sure that our students at Lakeview are learning at high levels.”
Mr. Braddock added “Michele White is a strong instructional leader who brings a tremendous amount of experience, knowledge, and skill to this position. She will be a very valuable asset to help move our school forward and I am looking forward to working with her in this new role!”
