Warsaw FFA Celebrates Award Winners and State Competition Successes

WARSAW, IN - The Warsaw FFA Chapter held its annual Spring Banquet and Awards Dinner in the Warsaw Performing Arts Center with the theme “Adventures Around the World.”
The Warsaw chapter celebrated the many successes of the year by recognizing members with FFA degrees, awards and honors while also highlighting career development events and proficiency winners.
Freshman Madelyn Riley received the Star Greenhand Award, and senior Ariana Bustamante was awarded the Anglin-Bishop Scholarship.
Each year, the Warsaw FFA Chapter presents Outstanding Service Awards to adults and organizations that go above and beyond to support the chapter throughout the year. This year’s recipients included Angie Jarrett, Joel and Stacie Goon and Echoes of the Past.
The chapter also recognized its most active members by awarding the Top 18 in Points Award for the 2025-26 school year. These members will attend an awards trip this summer: Alayna Alexander, Ashlyn Arnett, Paige Baker, Ariana Bustamante, Joseph Goble, Abigail Gordon, Alexa Hankins, Khloe Hinojosa, Natalie Hohman, Amy Joy, Adrianna Koos, Kade Lackey, Sadie Reed, Madelyn Riley, Makayla Riley, Peyton Robinson, Olivia Starkweather and Rylan Starkweather.
Top Leaders from each grade level and students earning the highest academic honors in each grade were also recognized.

The following students received Academic Awards: Natalie Deuel, Audrey Greene, Ava Makinson, Owen Nisen, Madelyn Riley, Kaitlyn Srogi, Abigail Gordon, Adrianna Koos, Bailey Goon, Cara Holland, Makayla Riley, Sean Smith, Paige Baker, Helen Delgadillo and Ella Jarrett.
On Saturday, May 2, Warsaw FFA members participated in the State Poultry and Eggs Career Development Event. The competition focuses on production and management, processing, marketing, food safety and poultry product quality. Students judged classes of live birds and eggs while also completing egg candling and oral reasons components.
The Warsaw FFA Poultry Judging Team earned a 12th-place finish in the senior division. Team members included Kade Lackey (40th individual), Audrey Greene (47th individual), Ashlyn Arnett (58th individual) and Alexa Hankins (70th individual). Rylan Starkweather also placed 79th individually in the senior division.
Warsaw FFA’s junior poultry team placed ninth in the state competition. Team members included Addison Goon (19th individual), Ivan Puga (29th individual) and Kaleyah Bustamante (52nd individual). The contest was held at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
Warsaw FFA also competed in the Practical Forestry State Competition on Saturday, May 9 at the Wright Forestry Center near West Lafayette. The Forestry Career Development Event is designed to promote forestry instruction while recognizing students who demonstrate strong forestry knowledge and skills.
The Warsaw FFA Forestry Team placed third in the state. Individual placements included Makayla Riley, second; Joseph Goble, 10th; Khloe Hinojosa, 12th; and Alayna Alexander, 14th.
The Warsaw FFA Chapter thanked the community for its continued support and involvement in the Warsaw Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Department and looks forward to another year of opportunities and growth.
