Warsaw School Board Recognized by ISBA Recognized for Leadership that Supports Student Success

WARSAW, IN - During the Tuesday, April 21 board work session, it was announced that Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) Board of School Trustees has once again been recognized by the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) for its continued commitment to professional learning and effective governance.
Warsaw Community Schools earned the Commendable Board Award through the ISBA Exemplary Governance Awards program, recognizing school boards that demonstrate a strong commitment to ongoing development and leadership.
Board awards are based on points earned by individual members for attending ISBA seminars, workshops, conferences and other professional learning opportunities, as well as completion of additional criteria such as core meetings and governance-focused activities. This recognition reflects the dedication of the WCS board and its focus on continuous improvement in support of student success.
In addition to the board-level recognition, several members of the Warsaw Community Schools Board of School Trustees were honored individually for their participation in ISBA-sponsored training and development:
Heather Reichenbach — Level 4 Exemplary
Brad Johnson — Level 4 Exemplary
Randy Polston — Level 3 Distinguished
Denny Duncan — Level 2 Advanced
Melissa Kissling — Level 2 Advanced
Matt Deuel — Level 1 Commendable
“The WCS School Board was recently recognized by the Indiana School Boards Association for their dedication to our community along with extended hours in professional development,” said Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert. “Our board members’ continued learning of new educational understanding and trends in finance, construction, leadership, and governance goes far beyond the traditional roles and responsibilities.
