We have successfully completed the first week of school! We are so excited to have our Spartans back and under the same roof. I hope they enjoyed their first week of school! Please take time to celebrate with your children this weekend. I'm so proud of their hard work this week!
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we implement all of our new procedures and policies. I wanted to take a moment to ask for your assistance with our parent pick up line. We have more parents opting to pick up their children at the end of the school day than we have had historically. As a result, there are times our parent pick up line completely fills Maple St. The Winona Lake Police Department has asked us not to wait on Kings Highway. To keep overflow traffic off of Kings Highway, we ask you do the following if Maple St is full:
- If traveling North, drive by Maple and turn left onto Rupe Dr. at the four way stop. Turn left onto College Avenue. Turn left onto Publishers Drive. Wait at the stop sign on Publishers Drive until there is an opening on Maple St.
- If traveling South, drive by Maple and turn right onto 13th St. Turn right onto College Avenue. Turn right onto Publishers Drive. Wait at the stop sign on Publishers Drive until there is an opening on Maple St.
No vehicles should enter the front of the school or park at Grace College to pick up their children. This creates unsafe conditions with the bus traffic in the front parking lot. Please utilize the parent pick up line to pick up your child. Please also remember that we cannot cross lanes in the parent pick up lane. If you pick up your child in the left lane, you should turn left onto Kings Highway. If you pick up your child in the right lane, you should turn right onto Kings Highway.
