Lauds High WCHS Graduation Rate
Warsaw Community High School increased its graduation rate for the second consecutive year, and now
ranks well above the state average. The WCHS class of 2011 recorded a graduation rate of 88.8% while the state
of Indiana logged a percentage of 85.7 % for the same class. For WCHS, this is an improvement of 4.9% over the
class of 2010, and an increase of 13.9% over the class or 2009.

Seventh Grade Band Sign-Up
Warsaw Community Schools Band Department is scheduling instrument fittings for 2012/2013
seventh grade beginning band members for both Edgewood and Lakeview Middle Schools. The
instrument fittings will be held at Warsaw High School in the Performing Arts Center Band Room on
February 7th and February 9th between 4:00-7:40pm.

Hosting Dance Marathon to Benefit
Riley Hospital for Children
Warsaw Community High School will host its first ever Dance Marathon to benefit Riley
Hospital for Children on Saturday, February 11. The marathon will take place from 7-11 p.m. in the
Career Center Gym. All WCHS students are invited to attend. The dance is hosted by the WCHS Student

Scholastic Art Awards Competition
Warsaw received 23 awards in the individual entry categories and 7 more awards in the Senior Portfolio category. The Gold Key winners will be judged at the national level in New York! The recognition for individual artwork is a great honor and having works on display at a well-known gallery is very prestigious.

WCS will be in session on the following dates as snow make-up dates in accordance with the 2011-2012 Board approved school year calendar, with any additional weather dismissal days added to the end of the school year:
