Think Through Math is a web-based solution that provides comprehensive, adaptive math instruction for all students in 5th and 6th grade. This resource can be utilized both at school and at home to reinforce Warsaw Community School's guaranteed mathematics curriculum. Nearly fifty educators representing all WCS elementary, middle, and high school buildings are finishing up with the first week of a two week STEM focused summer institute. This professional learning opportunity is provided through a 3 year $450,000 Math Science Partnership Grant awarded from the Indiana Department of Education. Warsaw Community Schools has partnered with Ball State University to facilitate the instruction. The mornings have concentrated on building content knowledge and demonstrating ways to create more inquiry focused learning in the classroom. The afternoons have focused on the integration of project-based learning within the classroom. A variety of pictures are below.
Warsaw Community Schools recently completed the first session of summer school. This comprehensive 17 day program provided purposeful, data-driven instruction for students in grades Pre-K through 12. We believe this innovative program is like no other in the state of Indiana.
