Update on ISTEP+ Testing

Warsaw Community Schools would like to update parents on the ISTEP+ issues that have resulted during the first two days of testing.  On Monday, April 29, 2013, CTB, the state-wide testing provider, experienced server problems resulting in state-wide interruptions to student testing sessions.  CTB worked overnight to correct these problems and testing resumed Tuesday morning.  Warsaw Community School students that began testing on Tuesday experienced little or no problems until approximately 11:15 a.m.  At that time, state-wide interruptions began again and CTB halted all testing until further notice.

WCS would like to recognize the efforts of our building level techs and our district technology department to help our students, teachers, and schools work through these issues.

Warsaw Community Schools will continue to monitor this situation and work with CTB and the Indiana Department of Education to ensure that all students have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge on this assessment.
For more information, please feel free to contact Amy K. Sivley, Chief Accountability Officer, or Brad Hagg, Chief Technology Officer at 574-371-5098.
